The cushioning and padding on the tongue, heel and the rest of the upper was comfortable. There was plenty of room in the toe area. The site describes the shoes as well cushioned. However, I have non-diabetic chronic nerve pain in both legs. The insole/sole of the shoe is very stiff and hardly gives way. I have a pair of Altras running shoes with a lot more cushioning and a lot more comfort. Attempting to walk in these shoes was very uncomfortable and the stiffness and lack of flexibility made me wobble. I returned these shoes for a refund.
