Review on Xroose Wireless Recorder Motorhome CM1 by Geoff Yates

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great wireless backup camera system

I bought this system as a backup camera for my caravan but it can also be expanded with additional surveillance cameras. Testing the system on the dyno and setting it up before installation was easy, everything worked as expected. The camera was simply connected to the monitor and the system was up and running within minutes. Came a pre-installed SD 32GB memory card (for video recording). The card can be formatted directly in the monitor and easily replaced if necessary. The video files are in AVI format and can be easily downloaded to a PC or Mac using a card reader for full control of viewing or editing. Video recording is 10MB/min, so a 32GB card can record around 55 hours. All declared functions work as expected. Camera only video, no sound. The menus give you full control over display brightness, contrast, and color saturation (hue). Images can be flipped or mirrored in 4 different ways. Up to 4 cameras can be connected to the monitor and scan with a configurable delay or simultaneously in split-screen mode. The picture quality is excellent. The camera is waterproof, wide-angle, with built-in IR LEDs for night vision. The "P" guides can be toggled on and off. The cigarette lighter plug used to power the monitor has an integrated USB port for charging. There are two different length extension cords to power the camera; multiple mounting brackets and hardware including a monitor suction cup mount. The brightness of the monitor is sufficient, the resolution is excellent. The wireless range is excellent. The signal strength is displayed on the screen. The manual is in English, quite detailed and easy to read. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.
