Great way to add an SSD when no drive bays are available

I have been a long time fan of IcyDock ToughArmor products and this continues my experience with excellent quality. The drive sleds in this controller board/hot-swap bay are compatible with many other 2.5" 9.5mm high sleds and are easily interchangeable (see the IcyDock website for specific models). I use them for an SSD cache drive in an UnRAID system where all the drive bays are filled with spinning drives, but I had an empty PCIE x1 slot on the motherboard (388MB/s read and write on my Crucial M500 cache drive) which is enough for my needs. And the controller is probably faster than any spinning drive you could ask for. I'll definitely buy it again if I need another drive on a system where I don't have drive bays or controller ports, but still have it have a free PCIE x1 slot.
