Absolutely worst experience I have ever had with a device from a major manufacturer. So far, NEVER PLAYING A DISC has failed. Even in the initial menus, it starts out with a series of random white flashes. During playback (DVD, Blu-ray and 4k) the white flashes then continue and eventually become a screen blackout lasting several seconds. I've tried different settings, different known good cables, nothing seems to work. The device has been returned to LG twice. The first time they had two months. The second time they had it within six weeks. Both times he returned and exhibited exactly the same behavior. I know this isn't a problem with my hardware because I've tried the Samsung 4k player and it works fine. Also, I read forums on the net about this device and others had the same problems. Stay away from this LG.
