Review on Bridgestone Golf e12 Contact Golf Balls: The Best Choice for Improved Performance by Adam Jackson

Ball gets stuck in standard balls

These balls give me good driver and iron distance. They spin great and have above average stopping power for a crabby ball. I think these balls behave almost exactly like my regular Titleist Trufeel ball. The feel is soft but not overpowering. Stronger than Duo Soft or Supersoft. Like B-RXS. I find them perfect for my swing at 150 km/h. Slower swings don't have to worry about losing distance with a low compression ball driver because we won't get that far anyway. Except we're hitting the lower compression balls REALLY FURTHER with irons and everything else in the bag! The E12 has enough stiffness to get good distance off the tee and soft enough to get good distance off the iron. E12s are about $8 more expensive than Trufeels, but they also come in three pieces that are more expensive to manufacture. But if they're $30 (now they're $26.54 a dozen and I buy a dozen, thanks Revane) you're close to where you can buy last year's B-RX or a urethane ball from Wilson or something like Snell Urethane Ball. Vice or Oncore for the same price. If you buy a few dozen at a time, you can get a 2018 B-RX on Ebay for $26 a dozen. The same goes for balloons in the mail. Anyway, the point is that the price is a bit high. Durability is ok. Contrary to what many people think, ionomer beads are no more durable than urethane beads. Urethane is much less abrasive to trees and trails than ionomer. But I still try to put a new ball in play every few holes. I love new balls! I would really like someone to test all of these "mid-range" ionomer shots the way MGS tested urethane shots. I think it would be interesting.

  • Pleasing
Cons
