Bought this door as part of a two door system. This is on the inside of my kitchen wall and leads to a small vestibule (windbreak) and a second pet door. This door is very well made and has strong magnets on the bottom and sides of the one year caliber plastic flap. One interesting thing is that the valve is opaque but has a clear window at the top so the pet can see where it's going. The sliding panel that closes the front door works great and is aesthetically pleasing. This door was a great purchase! The door is used by 2 cats, a 50 lb Pittie mix and an 85-90 lb Rottie/Shepard mix. ** I did not install the door myself but contacted my carpenter (who built the outer 2 doors). He didn't seem to have any problems installing it 😊
