The filter is definitely thicker and has impregnated activated carbon. It is better? It's too early to tell. All cabin filters. They really don't seem to notice if they're doing a good job or not. You filter things, but do they need to be changed often? I doubt it. I replaced it in my wife's 2011 Hyundai Elantra about a year ago. It didn't have much stuff this time, so maybe it could have worked longer. The fit was good - a bit tight as I had to put the cap back on tightly. The bezel is thicker so it doesn't fit into the case as easily. That should be fine as hopefully it won't have that many spaces. But who knows! For the price, it outperforms store-bought in perceived quality and value.
