Review on ☕️ Wacaco Nanopresso Barista Kit: Enhance Your Portable Espresso Experience with Double Espresso and Lungo Options by Cory Whitney

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Great espresso but the water tank can pop out and cause serious damage

I love the coffee he makes (more on that at the bottom of the review) so why the 1 star rating? Dangerous to use: I loved the product and read YouTube reviews, usage tips and even a manual as soon as I got my nanopresso. When it arrived it looked great, felt good and I loved how wearable it was. I used it 2-3 times a day for 9 days. During this time, the water tank opened/popped twice (both times the water tank from the barista kit). The first time was during a party with some young kids running around. Luckily neither I nor anyone else was hurt. I blamed the incident on my inattentiveness and have been much more careful since then. The tank just fell off again last night. This time, scalding hot water flooded my fingers, causing severe pain and severe blisters. Luckily, the people around me only splashed with warm water, so they didn't hurt themselves. I still felt very guilty. When I received my Nanopresso I noticed that there was no locking mechanism to hold the tank in place, but I assumed the design was secure. Otherwise they wouldn't have sold it, would they? Yes. apparently not much. As for the quality of the coffee, the coffee this little machine makes very well is way better than Starbucks and most other cafes I've been to (yes, I'm a bit of a coffee snob). Espresso is full-bodied, full-bodied and strong. I really enjoyed it every time and looked forward to tweaking and experimenting with the different settings to get the perfect espresso. Due to a design flaw in the water tank, this means nothing. Unfortunately, I can NOT recommend this product and I do not want to try it again. My hand is seriously burned and I will never try that again. I'll get mine back asap and while I still love the idea I'll be a lot more skeptical when considering alternatives.
