It's great if you have 2-3 antennas with an amplifier.
This solved the problem (but it's not entirely clear why you're getting such a loss of signal) that I had to use boosted antennas. I had to readjust both/all three antennas a bit, but it helped. I live in a 2nd floor suburban apartment in King Co. WA (Seattle) 25 miles from TV towers surrounded by tall trees and other apartment buildings. The second output works just as well for a second TV. I am very glad that I solved this problem.
