With every pad I've used, the red foam underneath the microfiber surface begins to dissipate, and you end up with small residues of foam in the wash and on the paintwork. I even contacted Meguiar customer service (they are GREAT) and the new replacement parts they sent me did the same. The sad thing for me is that they work SO well, but the poor durability was something I had to put up with. I would normally give more than 1 star for such a critical flaw, but the carpet itself does the job so well that 3 stars would be disingenuous.
