Small electric nail file, suitable for babies and adults. It's a bit noisy so I'm not sure if it can be used for light sleepers but heavy sleepers won't be bothered by it. Also gentle on the skin. I use this with my 3 year old granddaughter and also with my adult daughter with special needs. Both love it and put up with it with no problem. It can tickle your toes. It's not rechargeable, so you'll need to have AA batteries handy. Not very strong but that's the point so you don't put too much pressure on your nails. Light pressure is enough for my granddaughter's nails and more intense pressure for my daughter's nails. He jumps while using it, so you'll have to pay attention and concentrate to hit the right spot (again) to keep him from jumping. Works best with simultaneous skin contact and light nail contact. Every thick or complex nail needs a different, more powerful electric nail file. But this one serves my purpose very well. I took off a star as I think it could be a rechargeable device and save batteries.
