Works fine with GH4 4K quality

I have been using transcend for several years now. I've used CF cards for cameras like the 5D MK II and 7D MK II. In the past few years I've shot about 72 events like weddings or Sweet 15s, not counting side jobs. I usually pad 2 32GB CF cards per event per camera. All under the Transcend brand. I recently switched my camera setup to a Panasonic GH4 and they use cards like this. So far I've only shot 2 events with this card and the GH4 in 4K UHD quality. I just have to say that they think it's nothing. Before filming the events, I did a test to see if they would hold up for longer 4K footage. It took me at least 1 hour for the camera to record continuously. He was filming for 1 hour and 15 minutes until I stopped him, still the card was almost full. After testing them, I felt confident that I could use them in the real world and they didn't let me down. For the price I didn't expect them to be able to handle 4K but they managed GH4 4K UHD quality at 100Mbps which is around 12.5MB. The card claims it can handle up to 40MB of recording and more with compatible devices, so I shouldn't be surprised that they managed the GH4 4K since it's 4K compressed. All I can say is rest assured that this card can handle your 1080p HD and will definitely get the job done if you shoot 4K with it, assuming the compression ratio is 4K type you're shooting, under 40MB write speed.

Pros
  • Ease of use, plug and play operation
Cons
  • Security
