I'll admit, the first few times I put it on I realized it was different than the other "slimming shirts" I have worn. The other ones are more like Spandex Tank Tops while this is like a breathable neoprene suit that doesn't make you sweat. It also has an added feature of allowing good posture for the time wearing it.You do have to strap it in like with small hooks so it isn't that quick to put it on, but takes about a few seconds to take it off.I would say that when it comes to the sizing, it is a little off. The Chest to Waist combinations are a little odd because a 42" chest isn't really considered that large for men but most guys with 42" chest would likely have a waist in the 33 to 36" range. So once you start to lose some weight, it isn't that tight. It is still like wearing a size smaller undershirt but not TOO tight where you feel like it is working. However, it is working. One added thing is the protection for your back is very good & a cool bonus. I wouldn't recommend wearing it underneath for like a wedding or anything where you're wearing a white dress shirt.
