As a professional photographer, I'm always looking for a cheap trick to make my work stand out among all the great photographers in this world of photography. This is definitely one! I wanted it for landscape photos, great field of view. I thought it would be perfect for portraits too, it is. I read in a review that it wasn't suitable for astrophotography because it doesn't focus beyond 200 feet. Well it is, and it takes beautiful photos of the night sky. Just close the aperture, f1.4 is too wide open to get a really sharp image. f2 to 2.8 works incredibly.
