I ordered three Yubikey NFC security keys and none of them work with NFC. As you can see from the photos they look like real ones, but in the Yubikey manager they seem to have the firmware of a cheaper model without NFC. They work great as a USB security key, but that's not what I bought them for. At first I thought my phone was the problem, but I tried another one and got the same negative result. I then scanned other NFC items and my phone read them perfectly. I then ordered the more expensive Yubikey 5 NFC just to see if it behaved differently. It arrived a day later and worked through the box, I didn't even have to open it. I used the NXP Taginfo app to get the information. Yubikey support asked me for more information but they didn't reply anymore. I'm still not sure if they are real or if they made a manufacturing error. If you don't need NFC, you should better use a cheaper model. I am very disappointed with the result.
