I took it purely for research reasons - to see what kind of device. At the next purchase, I would focus on the 5th series, but it is twice as expensive. Its pros: An interesting device. As a key carrier for an ES to enter the State Services, only to work on other algorithms for entering foreign sites that support the FIDO standard. You can set a pin code, make it the only factor in two-factor authentication - for example, to enter your Google account, you could only use this device. The NFCโ€ฆ

does what it's supposed to do

protects your Google Account, including enhanced protection. It's cheaper than Neo because it doesn't support otp and a few other fancy features that you probably don't need anyway. much better than the Feitian which isn't as sturdy, waterproof or crush resistant as this wrench (sturdy, not sure - you can probably ruin it if it goes in too deep or gets kicked on too hard, need to have 2 anyway). Almost as good as today in January 2019, so we're 3 generations behind since the first edition andโ€ฆ

NFC doesn't work optimally on USB devices

I ordered three Yubikey NFC security keys and none of them work with NFC. As you can see from the photos they look like real ones, but in the Yubikey manager they seem to have the firmware of a cheaper model without NFC. They work great as a USB security key, but that's not what I bought them for. At first I thought my phone was the problem, but I tried another one and got the same negative result. I then scanned other NFC items and my phone read them perfectly. I then ordered the moreโ€ฆ

This key works with U2F sites (I have yet to find a FIDO2 site). For example, it worked as advertised with Facebook. Note that this requires a compatible browser; on Windows 10 it means chrome.Edge doesn't work with this key since build 17704 or earlier (looks like FIDO support is missing in Edge) This key doesn't work with Windows 10 Hello, there doesn't seem to be any support for keys on Windows to give FIDO2 currently (build 17704) Windows 10 Hello works with Jubi keys (they use CCIDโ€ฆ

Until NFC works - Oh yes it does!

NFC hasn't worked with the Google Pixel XL yet. I contacted Yubico directly and will update this review over time. Yubico offered to install an NFC reader app for testing. It failed but my google titan didn't. I tried several other NFC reader apps and Titan worked with all of them. Yubiko is gone. Stay with us. Update: January 24, 2019 - Contacting Yubico via email was a good idea. They asked for a photo of my key and a Revain transaction number. No, I didn't get a fake. On Yubiko's advice, Iโ€ฆ
