I work in an auto repair shop and needed something compact that could stand on a tool box and be loud enough to be heard through all the noise. It meets all of these criteria. I don't know where the noise complaints are coming from. At first I had the same problem until I turned up the volume on the remote and phone. Then voila, the thing rocks and the overall volume is easily adjusted with the volume knob or remote control. I personally don't use the remote control because of a dirty hand. I tested the remote and had no problems, it's a bit slow but does the job. I hooked it up to some old bookshelf speakers and it's great. My only complaint might be with the setup, as I couldn't just hold down the button to quickly move the watch face up or down. It's quite a tedious setup process, but it has an amazing memory. It doesn't always work on my box, but when I come back from the weekend it immediately switches to the last channel. Bluetooth and radio reception is very good. No annoying loud voice when plugged in like I've mentioned on similar devices. All in all I would buy it again and recommend it. It also has a 12V power supply which I haven't tried but it might be useful for hobbyists. I was thinking of hooking up a 12v tool light to it. Connecting to my Android phone is easy and simple. And yes, if you need directions, good luck, you need a magnifying glass or a Hubble telescope, damn it's fine print. But they emailed me a link to a video that I don't want. I found the device simple and easy to use with no instructions and am not a spring child. So if you figured out my nonsense then go ahead and buy it. In addition, the extended warranty is cheap.
