I really like the shades! We did a lot of cost comparisons and they were very affordable. They hang like a normal lampshade, but if you hang over the ledge like we did, you need to add 1x3 over the ledge to install the brackets, otherwise the lampshade will not work properly. That's why I only gave the installation four stars. I was able to easily hang the smaller inner shade myself without any extra steps. We bought a coffee color which is actually light brown but has a lot of texture and a very nice shade. The measurements we provided were accurate. Since the curtains are motorized, we can remove them completely and have no problem with children or pets. Although the curtains don't whisper, they work perfectly. Highly recommended!
