I am a novice Cricut user and purchased this as part of a base set to use with my new machine. At first I was confused how this tape would help align my translations as the grid is on the back not the vinyl. But I thought I'd try anyway. Then I tried my first cutting project after calibrating the machine. Please note that the mat that comes with the machine is a slightly sticky (blue) mat. I assembled and cut my first design, it was 2 parts in total. The tape was not tacky enough to separate the material from the mat. Needless to say, I had to post each piece individually and had no instructions to properly piece the design together. I tried again, thinking maybe I didn't rub the tape hard enough. Vain. Or maybe it just doesn't work with Oracal matte vinyl and not metallic coated materials? I decided that this material is not worth keeping. I'm sending it back and ordering a different brand. Costs more, but hopefully it works.
