Received my buckle this morning and after waiting over a week I was happy to use it now. but i was disappointed but as soon as i took it out of the box the first thing i noticed was that it was poorly constructed. The fit is not very accurate. When the buckle is closed, it dangles and makes an annoying rumble. I attribute this to poor design and construction, I assume the size was not pre-made to make a nice and snug fitting buckle. Regardless, I used it anyway. I used it for a handmade leather bag with adjustable shoulder strap, to carry books and other things during my college classes. when we return to campus in the future. This is where the second issue came in, but I think it has to do with the loose fit issue. When I had the strap ready for testing, I loaded the bag with my notebooks, laptop and textbook and after a minute of use with a load the buckle came loose, it slipped out in the thread due to a loose fit when applying the weight. Now, after some testing, I've come to the conclusion that five pounds or more of weight can cause the buckle to fail. So overall I can't use it for what I wanted. I honestly don't think it will be reliable for other purposes. after buying things from craftmemore, they were of great quality. I'm very disappointed considering it was $10 that I basically threw away. I don't know if this one buckle was defective or compatible with all buckles of this type, no matter what, I will not buy them again, I would warn other buyers to buy with caution or look for another buckle. A star behind the buckle looks good compared to others I've looked at but it also doesn't look like the product pictured, instead of matte bronze gray the buckle is in real shiny almost solid black but in the end the look doesn't matter if the shutter doesn't work.
