Installation was easy once you are familiar with a few hand tools and have a jack and stand. First I put the sleeve on the pin instead of the cable. Then put the cable on the grommet. I had a little trouble getting the cable to sit completely flush at first, but with some wobbling I was finally able to attach it and secure it with a washer and cotter pin. machine is off. At first I didn't feel any difference. Actually I was very disappointed. I cleaned up and took a test drive. When I actually drove the car, I felt the difference. It's not night and day, but the shifter definitely feels more solid when engaging a gear. It gives a little more confidence when shifting fast. For less than $30 I think this is a worthy upgrade. I will be pairing this with a Boomba short travel derailleur soon too.
