Review on Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Fixed Lens - Discontinued by Manufacturer by Mura Mura Chun ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I'm not particularly happy, but basically everything is fine.

The lens came complete with a standard kit and a telezoom. At first, I was very pleased with test shots in nature: beautiful blurring of the background, color rendition. Hooray! As a portrait painter - that's it, but it wasn't there. When I began to edit the footage, I was horrified, am I really so crooked - out of 10 photos, at least half are blurred, and this is when shooting from a tripod and an external flash (it can’t be). A second photo shoot showed a similar result, it’s good that the customer was not picky and allowed to fix the marriage. Initially, I wanted to smash it against the wall, along with the Canon carcass. Yes, I did not expect such a setup, despite the fact that subsequent checks for front and back focus showed that the lens was aligned correctly. In short, shock and complete disappointment. Continuation: I continue to use the lens for portrait shooting, I still can’t understand how on the machine with the same settings in one case you can get razor-sharp shots, and in the other - bare soap? However, we are starting to make friends with him, namely, I tried to shoot with manual focus exclusively with shutter priority, and in my opinion, as they say, “the process has started”. At the moment I'm not completely sure about the "process", but the number of quality shots has increased. I will continue, I will clarify - I will unsubscribe. I'm upgrading my rating to 3.
