2nd Purchase - *UPDATE*

This email is about another purchase for my mother. I bought a 24" Cheetah mount for my mom's 55" LG 4K TV. The last 2 photos are the finished setup I made this week. I had a discount code that SPN kindly provided me with. I've been saving since earlier this year as I was planning to buy my mom another one for a new TV. I got it once a year this month. One year trip to Ohio to visit family. When I tried to use the code it didn't work due to the time elapsed. I wrote to SPN and Miss Eleanor was kind enough to refund me the difference immediately after purchase. These people are the best! If you need a mount and want the best secure dual articulation that allows enough range of motion to access everything and the best customer service out there then THIS mount is TO BUY TO BUY! GOD BLESS YOU PEOPLE IN SPN! I bought this 24" mount so I wouldn't have any problems with wall studs and was very glad I did. While I was able to test with my nail finder before buying, I still liked the wider mount and the extra mounting versatility it offers. When I received it I noticed that it was very durable and very heavy. I pre-installed the bracket to do this when I bought my 65" TV to mount which arrived yesterday. I decided to drive a few extra screws into the wood on top of the bracket as it would take all the weight when I pulled it out to insert additional screws I made a very scary discovery. In the top right corner when looking at the wall mounted bracket, the bracket is missing a screw and a metal corner bracket. My first thought was that i am very glad i found this problem because if i hung the tv on the bracket and not found this problem my tv could fall off and hit the floor!not supporting the top rail in this way , is of course a HUGE mistake in assembly. Then I started checking EVERYTHING on the mount and every single screw. Some of the screws were a bit loose and I tightened them but other than that everything was fine. I had a hard time installing the TV onto the bracket myself and some of you may say I needed help. Well I'm strong enough and it wasn't a problem for me to lift, but after two failed attempts I had to get a large mirror and set it to the right height and to the side so I could use it to see the hooks around hang it on the bracket. This got me thinking that the mount could be made better to stick to the top rail more easily than hanging. I also noticed that the metal making up the hooks bends very easily, which gives me uncertainty as to its strength, but this may be done on purpose so you can adjust it a little. All in all, I would buy this mount again if the need arose, but I would test it very carefully in its entirety to be sure of the quality of workmanship. I can't imagine how upset I would be if my 4K TV broke and fell due to a broken bracket. Oh luckily there was a screw with the same thread pattern in the bag of screws and although it was longer than what should have been there it fit perfectly. I removed the metal corner bracket from the bottom of the bar and placed it on top as it needs to be stronger at this point as I shorted one of those corner brackets. Cheetah should definitely be aware of the loss of production and take measures to prevent it! ***UPDATE*** I posted this update much later than I should have, but the company was quick to credit me with 40% of it. mount after seeing this issue. They let me know that they are aware of the production issues and are working hard to fix them. I raised the bar to 5 stars because these people are the best at keeping their customers happy. I've also posted a few photos to illustrate how easy this mount is to access. It breaks almost 2 feet out of the wall. In the photo behind the TV you can see the missing angle from below. This isn't really a problem, it was missing along with the screw holding the bar up, I just moved the corner bracket up as that's where all the weight bearing is. I would buy this mount without hesitation and personally 24" is much better so you can reach at least 2 wall studs. As I said, this saved me a lot of time as I had over 16 inches between shelves, probably because the other bedroom wall behind this wall was a few steps from the left edge of the TV. Note that if you pull this bracket all the way out as shown in the photo, you will need to reach back with its double joint and spread the back a little to press it against the wall. It's not a flaw in the mount, just the mechanics of their design to give them the distance they need to move away from the wall. CHEETAH - YOU ARE COOL!
