But first and foremost, I need a monitor arm that adjusts to my monitors, raises them high enough off the table, has versatile positioning, has cable management, and can quickly rotate to portrait mode, and they have all those things. They appear to be plastic in the picture, but the only piece of plastic is the trim around the brackets that connect to the monitors. The rest is a solid medal. Very durable. However, they are not very difficult. I use these on a folding plastic banquet table (4ft wide x 2ft deep) and it flexes the table but definitely won't break it and otherwise stays in place. If you have a wooden table it will work perfectly.
