Bought this item for my 2.5 year old daughter who has always loved using other kids scooters in the playground. The item arrived quickly and was very easy to assemble. use it but she is still learning how to use it and is not progressing quickly. She is very slow. Despite our explanations, she cannot control it properly either. But when we showed her how to use the control function, it worked fine. I am sure that with time she will learn and drive the scooter faster to make the wheels light up. The only complaint I had was that I found the package smelled a little like smoke or had been stored in a damp basement for a long time. My husband said it just smells like plastic so I could be wrong. Fortunately, the scooter itself doesn't smell of anything, so I'm not removing the stars.
