Cool Pad, Bro on Cooling Pads and External Fans

I'll be honest with you. From what I've researched on cooling pads in general, it looks like they really don't do much much most of the time. However, I personally had issues with previous laptops that started overheating. Usually all you have to do is clean them, but at one point my only laptop needed a small desktop fan aimed at it to even play YouTube videos without overheating. So getting one of these could be a cheaper solution to keep your laptop running longer before buying a new one, or it could help prevent overheating damage. So far I've only used it a couple of times when the fan on my laptop was running all the time. This is a good way to keep the bottom of the laptop cool, especially when the vent is on the top. This pad isn't quite as quiet, but it's quieter than my laptop's fan, and when both are working it's still muffled by the laptop. Although it has two USB slots so it doesn't fully occupy the slot, it means that something needs to be plugged into the panel when it's connected to the laptop, wasting power on something else to start the fan . run first. Instead, I ordered a longer USB cable and power adapter to connect it and don't have to leave anything connected to the pad. Blue light is cool, but if your laptop is on the higher end of the spectrum, you won't see most of it. I want the screen to stay lit instead of dimming after so many seconds without using the menu. The speeds don't vary much, and to be honest I always set it to maximum settings when I turn it on because I want it to cool as much as possible, not all the time. But you have options, and that's a good thing. You can also turn off the lights if they distract you. Just follow this guide to learn how to manage these features. It can be used to change viewing angles and it can also act as a stand for your laptop, but personally I just leave it on the lowest level and on my desk as it's plugged into my wall anyway. It only cost me about twenty bucks, so it's a nice convenience, but just know that it's more of a luxury or a temporary fix than a necessity.
