My fiance's hard drive has failed. Without a recent backup, I wasn't very optimistic about these files. The computer didn't even start the operating system, how should I access the folders to get my information? I looked at some professional recovery options and quickly realized that the recovery would cost me my first child and then some I couldn't afford and the files didn't cost me that much. What other alternatives could there be? A quick google search revealed that the hard drive enclosure allows the drive to be read as if it were an external hard drive and I figured for $10 it was worth it. After I removed the hard drive and placed it in the case, I was unable to access the files from a healthy computer because the drive was corrupted and inaccessible. I downloaded some recovery software and lo and behold it was able to extract the files from the drive for me, except for some randomly corrupted files along the way. I recovered 99% of the files in about 2 hours and it only cost me $10. I could buy 50 boxes or more for the price of a professional agency restoration. This product has already paid for itself a million times over and I've only owned it for three days. Now I hope to be able to use it for its intended purpose once I swap out another computer's hard drive. I couldn't be happier with this purchase!
