Supports trimming! Good speed.

I recently got a 500GB SSD and was looking for an enclosure for it for a long time so I tried Sabrent-UASP. A few things I was looking for: - UASP support: not sure if there's a way to say so, but - Good speed: with HDTach, around 200MB/s average, random access: 0.1ms , Packet: 282 MB/s With. sec- Trim Support: Trimcheck performed and this is the FIRST USB 3.0 enclosure deemed trim capable. The last one (Trim) was great as I had my doubts about using an SSD in an enclosure due to the lack ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Nothing

I installed a new SSD in this case and plugged it into my laptop's USB port. At first, my laptop only saw the Sabrent case, not the hard drive. USB ports changed, even tried on another computer. Same result, can't see the hard drive! I wanted to return it because I thought it was broken and I saw other reviewers had the same issue. I googled my problem and it suggested that if it's a new hard drive I need to format it first before windows can see it. So I reconnected the case and went to diskโ€ฆ

I couldn't be happier with this purchase

My fiance's hard drive has failed. Without a recent backup, I wasn't very optimistic about these files. The computer didn't even start the operating system, how should I access the folders to get my information? I looked at some professional recovery options and quickly realized that the recovery would cost me my first child and then some I couldn't afford and the files didn't cost me that much. What other alternatives could there be? A quick google search revealed that the hard drive enclosure

Cons
  • Reliability

Hands off. I needed to create offline backup media to protect a client from ransomware. I chose (2) 4TB Samsung Pro Series SSDs and a Sabrent case to start the proof of concept. Everything seemed to work at first, but I noticed that when I reused the drive, it found that the drive needed to be formatted, even though it had already been formatted and safely ejected before ejecting. I tested this for a month, trying different computers and different cables. About 8 times out of 10 I would have to

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

I have a new Raspberry Pi 4 (RPi4) running the latest Raspbian Buster with a newer and faster UAS driver /kernel module is running. I bought a Sabrent case, M/N: EC-UASP, USB 3.0 to SATA and a new 512GB ADATA SU800 SSD to hold Linux ext4 filesystems for use with my RPi4. I've had nothing but issues with very slow I/O bound behavior with my RPi4 since putting this SSD in a Sabrent enclosure. I didn't even manage to write the partition table to the SSD with gdisk or gparted without completelyโ€ฆ

  • Easy Setup
