I've already switched to using the M705 second mouse. A previous iteration known as VX Revolution existed. The issue persists: after a few months of use, the spring that is located underneath the left button becomes less tight, and as a result, the button will make a double click instead of a single click. This issue has been bothering me for a number of years at this point. I don't believe that anyone from Logitech has noticed it. But in vain. Given the cost, the mouse cannot have a short lifespan under any circumstances. A little more than a year was the lifespan of the Revolution, and approximately the same was true for the first M705. The currently available M705 did not even make it a full year. In addition, neither of the M705s even made it to the point where the batteries could be changed. I do not approve of the current tendency. BUT, went out and purchased a third M705. Just because I'm quite accustomed to rapid scrolling and using two buttons on the side of the screen.
