I bought a 1960's house and was dying to update my kitchen. After lots of plumbing problems and thousands of dollars spent on things you can't see, I decided to do a temporary DIY kitchen makeover. I bought Nuvo Oxford Blue at least a year before I started using it! I followed the video/package instructions almost perfectly. I only cleaned once with TSP but later paid the price for that mistake. This little oversight cost me precious time because the only way to fix crackle paint is to sand again and again! Once this process was complete I had the best frosted cabinets. I'm so in love with my painted cabinets! They went from the ugly early 80's to Wow, Now! I completed my painting on March 20th, it's almost March 21st, and it has withstood many splashes, cleanings, dents and dogs without chipping or scratching. I am very impressed. I was hesitant to paint my closets because I figured I was always touching up. I didn't have to touch up even the most difficult spots! I will say though. Always negative. I also had problems with color immiscibility, but I got over it. The first two cans of my original set came out the right color. But I needed more color and unfortunately my third can which I bought separately from Revain was NOT the same colour. I chalked it up to the age of my original paints. I might have gotten a fresh batch if I hadn't kept them for a year. Still doesn't matter. My kitchen is huge and I used fresh paint for a brand new pantry and cabinet that I installed in another part of my kitchen. I'm planning to upgrade the armoire my grandma bought me almost 4 decades ago so I'm going to buy the black set! I cannot express how happy I am with the coverage and durability of this product.
