Plug and play and lasts all day.
I just plugged this drive into the front USB port of the PS4 and restarted the system. I always leave the drive on because I only sleep on my PS4 and never turn it off. I've downloaded all the games I've bought over the last few years, as well as games on disc. I haven't had any issues with lag or loading times, unless the game itself was buggy. Updates are automatic with no issues. I am very happy with this drive.
