I have a real PS4 hub that plugs directly into the front of the PS4 and has 1 3.0 port and 3 other ports. I liked the amount of storage, it was too good to be true. I hooked up an HD to my PS4, it worked for a few months and then it just stopped working. I've tried reformatting on PS4, Xbox, PC and Mac, none of the devices can read it. It means defective. It would be outstanding if the company sent me a new one and I sent that one back. Bought this a long time ago. A long time ago. And to be honest I haven't had any problems with this drive. 6TB try to fill it in. I moved everything to external storage and haven't been able to fill it up yet. It works flawlessly and load times are the same with or without it. It's fast, it works, and it's a whopping 6TB. The best aftermarket electronics I've bought for my PS4 Pro. And quiet. You can't even hear it Mostly quietly. Buy it. You will not be disappointed.

I just plugged this drive into the front USB port of the PS4 and restarted the system. I always leave the drive on because I only sleep on my PS4 and never turn it off. I've downloaded all the games I've bought over the last few years, as well as games on disc. I haven't had any issues with lag or loading times, unless the game itself was buggy. Updates are automatic with no issues. I am very happy with this drive.
