I was looking for an inexpensive mirror set that didn't look cheap and had to have a right hand thread and a left hand thread and was my size, 8mm. . I installed it today and am very satisfied. I'll update after riding them for a while, but although the connection between the mirror and the pillar is plastic, it feels solid and seems to hold its position while riding. I like that they are shorter than standard mirrors. As long as the mirror glass is big enough to allow a full and safe view, I prefer that they don't extend beyond the width of my handlebars. A "loose" nut on the handlebar mount and where the mirror meets the metal bar gives a lot of flexibility, and even some very expensive kits don't offer this feature.
