After my son was injured due to a mouth injury I had to look for somewhere he could drink without suction. Thank goodness I found them at a local store (across the country!). After he undressed on his own and was blind, I noticed that the straw part of the cup was dirty and would not pull out. Even with small brushes, beating from above or below is impossible. You must rinse/clean them immediately after use. He's been using it for almost 10 years now and I've never found another mug for him to drink from. I am very grateful to them for that!
