I bought this to fill the space between the plant and the pot. The color is bright and looks good. The texture is more like paper. If you have to rip off or cut pieces to fit the square I suggest doing this over a trash can as it gets pretty messy (see photo). I used a damp paper towel to push the dirt into the trash can. It only lasted a minute.
