This was my last Sabrent card reader purchase

This is my second Sabrent USB card reader. The older model failed with the built-in USB cable, and this newer model that replaced it didn't even work out of the box. Using Win32DiskImager or Etcher to write some Raspberry Pi microSD cards on Windows 7 and Windows 10 computers fails completely. It failed to stop recording in any configuration - even when using a microSD to SD adapter and SD slot. I also don't like that it adds an empty drive for each slot (even if it's not full) so you end up with multiple empty drives which messes everything up and only makes it more annoying to try to figure out which drive letter you really have to need. I also bought a Transcend USB drive at the same time and it worked flawlessly. No unnecessary blanks, and for a microSD card, a picture is captured perfectly in a flash. I will not be buying any more Sabrent card readers in the future.

Pros
  • Memory card accessory
Cons
  • Crumpled
