On paper and first use, this phone is great for the home office. The quality of the duplex speakerphone is very good, almost what you would expect from a commercial device, solid construction, great form factor, excellent volume and sound quality, easy integration with a Plantronics headset and lift arm. Here's the problem - dropped calls. The first unit I bought had this problem within a few months, and the new unit had the same problem a few years later. Not always, but enough and I've changed carriers twice and still had the same issue so I'm pretty sure it's the hardware. I think if you are a heavy user of the phone (who else would buy such a phone?), some components would probably "heat up" leading to this problem, otherwise it seems pretty random when it happens. In any case, the buyer should be careful.
