This KOBI Lago air purifier is also sold by other brands (Eureka Instant Clear and Toshiba Smart Wifi) so at least replacement filters are available. Here are the highlights. Good:👍A true HEPA filter with activated carbon pre-filter👍Replaceable filters are available from multiple sources👍Quiet at low frequencies👍Can move a lot of air at high frequencies👍Compact Bad:👎Filter is a bit small for the size Air purifier👎No automatic sensor to change speed depending on air quality 👎Needs space behind the air purifier (where the air inlet is) and space in front of the air purifier (where the air exits). Air purifiers rely on filters to capture substances you don't want to breathe in. The quality and size of the filter essentially determine how good the cleaner is and how long the filter will last. You want a HEPA filter that will capture the smallest particles and ideally something up front to capture larger particles to extend the life of the HEPA filter. The larger the filter, the longer it will last (and the more air can pass through it, so larger units with larger filters can generally work in larger spaces). This KOBI Lago air purifier features a HEPA filter with a carbon pre-filter, so we're off to a great start. The problem is that the filter is quite small, so I think you will have to change it more than once a year. I also like that the included filter has some foam around it to ensure a tight seal. The CADR rating for this air purifier is smoke 143, dust 145, pollen 228. In terms of controls, you have an on/off switch, fan speed, and UV on/off. There are indicators showing fan speed, power and UV status that aren't too bright. This one has a UV light (which has a separate control so you can turn it on and off) for sanitizing purposes I think. have several other air purifiers (at a higher price); The closest competitor is the Winix 5300, which I think is better due to the larger HEPA filter and air quality sensor, but costs 20-30% more. This is a pretty good air purifier with replaceable filters. I have some concerns about the lifespan of the HEPA filter and I'm not sure why you're paying more for this than the Eureka Instant Clear, but if you like the style and the features suit your needs, I'd recommend this.
