I was actually looking for a small toaster oven when I came upon this item. I would buy pastries or croissants, but be unable to toast them in my toaster and didn't want to heat up the oven for one small thing. I don't have a lot of counter space (which is why I hadn't purchased a toaster oven before). But when I saw the rack that can sit atop the toaster and reheat or crisp things -- like pastries -- I was so excited! Plus the toaster was red and retro, my jam (I had a red retro toaster that never did work that great. Now it's toast). I order the toaster and crossed my fingers that it would work for me. And it does. And it's a good toaster. And it has a cover that keeps everything looking nice. Delighted with it!
