Review on 🀿 Pair of Palantic Scuba Diving Trim Counter Weight Pocket Pouches with Quick Release Buckles by Bryan Murphy

Works in a pinch, could be better

These pockets hold hard or soft loads relatively securely but could be better. See below. Good:* There are no gaps between the bag flap and the bag, which allows you to use smaller soft weights (1-2 pounds) and they don't slide out like some other ready-made bags (check out Scuba XS). * Big enough to fit 8lbs in each bag.* Bag material is not too hard, bags can be squeezed without taking up too much space (unlike OMS bags for example). Could be better:* The velcro side of the velcro is oriented vertically, but the flap side is horizontal. A mismatched Velcro will only leave a 1" x 1" contact area. * The clip strap acts as a backup in case the Velcro comes loose but the strap cannot be tightened at all. As other reviewers have noted, the nylon strap is too flimsy and slippery, making the strap easy to detach. *Only a 2" webbing loop on the back, not enough slack to fit bags over straps or harness without removing other items. You will most likely need to remove the belt buckle and any triplane/holders to install it.
