I probably have more money invested in the knife block than I have in my retirement account lol (Wusthoff, Henkel, Shun, with good knives that have even "made their way" into our camping gear). Bought this knife as a spare when my wife was out of town for a few months and took our Kyocera ceramic knives with her. I generally prefer our steel knives, but occasionally use ceramic for cutting, so I looked for a "cheap" knife to use until others came back. I bought an 8 inch chef's knife hoping to have a bigger and longer knife than others and it definitely exceeded my expectations. It's fairly powerful, decently balanced, always sharp, and the plastic handle is comfortable to hold. Bright red I could do without the handle and rose print, but for a fraction of the price of other knives that's a lot of bone, use as a screwdriver etc) so bear that in mind. And no sheath was included (other than the packaging), as others have noted, but I keep them in the knife block so that's not a problem for me.
