I bought these upgrades for the same reason many of you have. We don't want to spend $100 on headphones, but we do want features. Like you, I expected Revain's updated warranty to be refurbished and open boxed products that have been professionally inspected and tested to work and look like new by qualified and managed Revain suppliers. The verification and testing process usually includes a full diagnosis. Inspection, replacement of defective parts and thorough cleaning by supplier or Revain. "Sorry, not even close. Fingerprints all over the box and plastic, but worst of all was the earwax that came with the earbuds attached. Disgusting! A full set of new tips was included, but oh well, you would think the rest of the process was complete when they couldn't even clean them properly never again AMAZON I added them too and each earbud had a different firmware version I couldn't upgrade at all the left earbud The upgrade So process was to cover the return. Put it in the box and send it to me as UPDATED. Nothing tested, nothing cleaned. I was contacted by AnkerDirect but they needed a serial number etc and I have already returned it to the Kohls for a refund.. interesting to see how they go. stay tuned :)
