Review on Canon PowerShot A480 camera, black by Anastazja Dziemian ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I like the product very much, fully consistent with my expectations.

The very first thing that came to mind after making the purchase was, "Why does a gadget that costs 5,000 shoot better than one that costs 16,000 (specifically, the Canon Powershot SX20 IS)?! A photograph of breathtaking beauty, with realistic colors (excellent white balance), and incredible attention to detail; for example, you can make out individual hairs on the subject's head. To get the "big brother" to a level of quality that was acceptable, it was necessary to manually adjust a large number of parameters and waste a week's worth of effort. After that, it was pointed out and pressed, and that was the end of it! In general, the AUTO mode works perfectly, and it captures both light and dark backgrounds, as well as macro, with equal aplomb. In addition, a fantastic case made of matte plastic that does not slide about and is not too thin, as is the trend right now, fits comfortably in the palm of the hand. Why did I purchase such a cumbersome "ultrasound" (SX20), which not only eats barateikas with an incredible amount of force?!:)) When I got to the store, I compared it with classmates' cameras from Nikon, Fuji (A170), and Olympus. I took a picture and promptly uploaded it to my laptop after the comparison. Canon is, without a doubt, the superior brand. I strongly suggest it to everyone!

Pros
  • Exceptional stability and color reproduction, as well as superb ergonomics, user-friendliness, and the ability to run on AA batteries.
Cons
  • a limited optical zoom range and essentially no user-controllable options.
