Sprout Living claims their products are tested for heavy metals (arsenic, lead, cadmium, mercury) and that their raw material and finished product cutoff is 1.5 parts per million. However, THEY WILL NOT SHARE their Certificate of Analysis (COA). My experience as a consumer (and the understanding of industry professionals) is that this document should be available and easily distributed to verify manufacturer claims/claims. Sprout Living responds that "distributing this document is against company policy" so there is NO WAY TO VERIFY YOUR PRODUCT CLAIMS. My personal recommendation, since this is a product that a person consumes on a regular basis, and since lead and arsenic can accumulate in peas and then be excreted as a powder, is to SKIP THIS PRODUCT and look to other manufacturers (easy to find) to search with certificates of authenticity that easily share (rather than hide) this information.
