Sony UBP-X800M2 player crashes when unable to play some media files!

My X800M2 DVD player failed to play some of my YouTube MP4 videos from USB sticks. Every time he encountered a file he couldn't play, a spinning wheel would appear in the top right corner of the screen and keep spinning endlessly. I pressed the stop button, menu button, power button, nothing stopped the player until I unplugged it. There should be a 20, 30, or 60 second timeout before the player stops reading the file and tells the user that the file is corrupt or unreadable, whatever. At the very least, you should be able to press the Pwr button on the player to stop it. You do NOT have to unplug your device! My previous Sony UBP-X700 player was able to play the same multimedia files from a USB drive. I also have the exact files on 2 different flash drives and the X800M2 was unable to play the specific files it was having trouble with on either flash drive. But they were perfectly reproduced on the X700. All of my region-free DVDs played flawlessly, as did some 4K Blu-rays. It was nice not having to switch codes from one region to another using the remote just to play a DVD from a different region. However, some Blu-ray 4K discs with Dolby Vision may cause the color and brightness to change during playback. During DVD playback, skin tones appear reddish and the overall brightness is dull. When I exit the DVD and play a standard Blu-ray DVD that doesn't support Dolby Vision, the color and brightness look great. That didn't happen with the X700. My Sony home theater receiver and Samsung 4K TV support Dolby Vision, so no device is to blame. I don't want to reset the player to see if it makes a difference. I don't recall there being any settings in the setup menu specifically for playing USB media files that might change when the player was reset. But a reset might fix Dolby Vision issues, idk. Most importantly, I don't want to lose or damage my Region Free settings by factory resetting the player. Also, this player only has 3 streaming services: Netflix, Revain Prime and YouTube! There is no longer an empty space with a + sign to add. Neither on the menu opening screen nor in the settings menu. The X800 is said to be an update of the X700. The X700 comes standard with 12 streaming services with the option to add 6 more. Why would Sony limit the X800 to just three when they're excited about the ability to upscale media to near 4K resolution! Older movies on streaming services like Hulu, Vudu, etc. benefit from high-end features, but only if they can't be added! At this point I would not recommend this turntable to anyone thinking of buying this model. Trying to read continuously without pausing after 20 or 30 seconds is a definite deal breaker for me. The inability to play some common MP4 media files via USB sticks is also a deal breaker. I was definitely not happy with this purchase so I sent it back! I would not recommend this player to anyone I know.
