Time for a honest review of this radio

This is a 10 day review of this radio. Now removed and factory reinstalled.First impression was great outta the box, pre install everything looks great and of good quality, installation not horribly difficult without instructions but a little frustrating. Once installed u realize it sits low and blocks the vents a bit, there is plenty of room to adjust it north but they didnt. Tight fit the firat install but having to remove it after realizing that you cant install the vents causes the clips to break, loosing 3 of the 6, stole them from other clips i had. Finished the install looks good.ish.Power up time.Looks good so far, touch is ok, little laggy but good, the lack of ability to change or adjust any of the home page is a HUGE negative.Apps are limited and most are NOT supported limiting what you can really do on the stereo, most movie apps will NOT work, movies anywhere, netflix or prime. We attempted a few otheres with the same results. Radio app seems to struggle to hold good reception, the blue tooth works fairly well, car play well is carplay.NO SD CARD READER, yet they say they do, they say buy one. Everything has to be put on a flash drive to install it on your radio. The sound quality is subpar. Minor adjustments seem to make more then desire changes and becomes very difficult to seem to get it back were you start. The plus that i loved most is the map and gps is amazing. If your still reading this honestly its just a cheap walmart tablet with mounts to install into your jeep. Style and look are ⭐⭐⭐ good but functionality is ⭐. Over all without the navigation/gps its overall is just a ⭐. If you want looks and cheep this is all you, if you desire quality this isnt for you.

Pros
  • Improved GPS navigation, even in areas with weak network coverage
Cons
  • May require additional subscriptions or fees for certain features
