Review on 🌬️ Alen BF35-Silver-Carbon Air Purifier Replacement Filter: 1-Pack of Hepa-Silver-Carbon Filters for Enhanced Air Quality by Zachary Benjamin

Alen Pet Smell Hepa Filter definitely has a strong odor when it is first installed. I've never had this problem with the other types they sell and have been using our Alen units for over 5 years. The smell will disappear after the filter has been running for a day, but be prepared when you buy this filter. I've read about this and I think it has to do with the fact that this filter contains charcoal/charcoal and will absorb pretty much any odor. I suspect it absorbed the odors while it was being stored. I hope Alain listens to all these comments about the smell and solves this problem. As long as you don't use the pet, you won't have any odor problems. We ordered "smoky" and it was perfect the first day. I'm sure Pet One is much better at filtering odors, but the initial smell is what keeps us from using this particular filter. These giant filters are the best and last about 10 months before needing to be replaced. 4/5 stars because of the special animal odor filter. 1 day carbon monoxide smell. Otherwise very happy with the other filters they sell.
