Excellent Unusual fragrance for Bahur

This type of bakhoor is different from the traditional bakhoor flavor. It's less like perfume, it has hints of fruits, wood, spices. I don't smell dragon blood much, but it still smells very nice. It doesn't smell like your traditional Indian incense sticks or at least the ones I've tried. This fragrance is less chemical, it smells cleaner and more organic. I like the smell very much, it is unusual and good. There are different types of bakhoor: real aloe or agar wood, aged for many years and very expensive, pieces of wood soaked in perfumes and oils, wood chips soaked in perfumes and oils, almost looking like damp tobacco. Another example is pieces of wood infused with flavorings and sugar. You can see the sugar coating the pieces of wood. And finally bakhoor cubes or as I call them cakes. I like brownies because they don't get messy and the flavor lasts for up to an hour or more when heated properly. You can reheat them whole or crumbled. When crushed, the exposure time is a little shorter, maybe 45 minutes, but the smell is stronger. If you leave it whole the scent will be much lighter but will last longer as it is released with heat. This type of bakhoor is best heated with a candle warmer or exotic warmer (they don't have a setting, buy larger tea lights) or electric heaters. I don't recommend burning them on charcoal as they burn too quickly and ruin the flavor. These cake cubes are a good introduction to the world of bakhoor, which is very different from Japanese, Tibetan, Indian styles and resin incense. Bakhur does not self-ignite as it always requires a heat source such as resins. Charcoal and electric burners are the most common for bakhoor. Off topic, back to Dragonsblood Dice, overall a good smell.
