When I received this part, one of the decoupling capacitors in the packaging was hopping. It broke on the way due to cold soldering. My parts look like they could be hand soldered which can lead to many quality issues. Luckily I was able to re-solder the part and it worked flawlessly. There's not much here, it's a circuit board with a few capacitors and configuration resistors. This made cloning my old m.2 SSD much easier than it otherwise would be. Another point to be aware of as there is a lot of misleading information in these reviews about the white 'ribbon' that comes with this product. THIS IS NOT DOUBLE SIDED TAPE. This is an adhesive based thermal gap seal specifically designed for heat transfer. The thinner strip is for mounting the heatsink and the thicker one is for the SSD. My guess is that the thermal issues people are reporting are due to people mistakenly omitting this essential component.
