Review on White Eastman 60231 Dual Drain Washing Machine Outlet Box with Hammer Arresters, 1/2-Inch Expansion PEX Connection, Equipped with 1/4-Turn Ball Valves by Shawn Sims

Revainrating 5 out of 5

More than one type PEX type and NOT interchangeable!

Second check indicating to the first examiner that you should use PEX EXTENSION for this particular valve ie PEX a or PEX Type A. There are also Types B and C which (at least with Type B) CRIMP or Push use for connectors. Large stores have Type B pipes and fittings. But stores typically do not have PEX a. Lowes and Revain have at least Type A online but READ the specs CAREFULLY. Type A is generally considered a more secure connection and is less prone to leaking as well as being more flexible and better suited to freezing weather, but you MUST have a more expensive tooling setup and the right connections. if you do. Personally, I like working with the extension type A/PEX. PEX types A, B, and C are neither superior nor inferior, but more "mission-specific" decisions. PEX is a great way to do plumbing, but I had to learn (painfully) about certain types. - and they don't really make it easy to learn.
